Certified Training in Sandplay Therapy
Become a Sandplay Therapist certified by the Association for Sandplay Therapy (AST)
Sandplay is suitable for therapy with adults, adolescents and children. In particular, Sandplay based on Jungian theory functions as a therapeutic psychotherapeutic method, offering the client a non-directive and profound means of processing trauma, while at the same time helping to healthy integrate the consequences arising from this experience.
It covers the treatment of a very wide range of issues: emotional problems, grief, phobias, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, bedwetting, enuresis, selective mutism, eating disorders, academic performance, gifted individuals, relationship issues and a many others.
It is addressed to individuals who are already therapists and work therapeutically with clients (psychiatrists, child psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health counselors, play therapists, Art Therapists) and are interested in acquiring in-depth knowledge of a psychotherapeutic method that can be used either independently or in combination with the methods they already employ.
A postgraduate degree in mental health, such as psychotherapy, counseling, or Art Therapy, is usually a prerequisite.
However, equally important is the desire for personal development as a mental health professional.
Parts of the training can be attended by anyone interested in learning about the magical world of Sandplay and Jungian theory.
